Drinking Card Games – Drinking and games are two such things that bring joy and fun for sure. But have you ever thought of how extra fun would it get when you mix the two? There are hundreds and thousands of such games that involve drinking to make it more fun. One variety of games, the card games especially have a wide range of games that can be played while drinking or that involve drinking.
If you are looking for such fun games that include drinking as punishment, or for losing the game or even for the winner and all players, then here are some amazing drinking cards that you might like.
Our Favorite top Drinking Card games
King’s Cup
King’s Cup drinking card game can be played with 2 or more players. In this game, all cards have different rules of their own. For instance, in this game, Jack means playing around of Never Have I ever. Where as Ace means waterfall. So all players drink when ace is played. This unique game is my most favorite drinking card game as it involves other games as well as tasks.
Toepen
Toepen is a drinking card game that can be played with 3-8 players. In this trick taking card game the player who plays the highest ranking cards wins. The rest of the players lose a life. The game is continued until a player loses 10 loves. That person has to buy a round for all the other players.
Horserace
Horserace is one of the very few drinking card games that can be played by any number of players. There are no limits on how many players can play the game. For this game, you will require a standard 52 deck of playing cards. The Aces are horses and the rest of the cards are used to see the winner of the race in this game.
The players basically bet on the aces they think will win by using number of drinks they wish to give out. The winners will give twice that number where as the losers have to drink half their wager and also some additional drinks that are given by the winner.
Ride the bus
Another one of my personal favorite drinking card games is the Ride the bus drinking game. The game can be played with over 8 players. The game is kind of a pyramid drinking card game. The game first begins with 4 rounds where the players are dealt 4 cards one at a time.
In these rounds, the players have to guess the card they can get. In the first round the dealer asks the question – Red or black (players have to guess which color card they will get), the second round question is higher or lower (card value higher or lower then the first card). The third round question is about value of the card and the fourth about the suit of the card.
This tricky dealing of cards was the first half of the game. Now comes the second part. Here, the players have to build a pyramid. This pyramid has faced down cards which are then flipped by the players. The players may place cards that match the flipped value and give the other players drinks. After the pyramid is build, the player having the highest number of cards in hand is the loser and has to rise the bus, that is, answer the questions asked in the first half of the game. If they guess wrong, they have to drink up!
President
A drinking card game that can be played with 4 to 7 number of players. The President objective is to not be the last person having cards in their hand. The game starts with players taking turn. The first one is the current president who plays matching cards pair. The rest of the players have to then beat this with a pair of cards having higher ranking than those of the President.
When all the players are done with their turn, the cards from the table are removed and the next round begins with the person who played the last in the earlier round. The loser is that person who has the cards in their hand. Such a player has to buy a round for the table and give their best card to the new president.
Up and Down the River
Yet another one of the amazing drinking card games is Up and Down the River. This fun drinking card game can be played with 6 or more number of players. The dealer too is a part of the game.
He has to deal 4 faced up cards and then these cards are flipped which is called as going up the river. For every card flipped, the players have to drink an increasing number of drinks.
Divaball
A fun dance game that can be played with any number of enthusiastic players. The players have to get drunk but not too much. All the players are given 2 cups. One of which contains beer and the other is empty. As the name of the game suggests, the players are to dance with the cups in their hand and the game start with simple instructions like spinning once or twice and later on are made complex.
Blind Squirrel
Blind squirrel drinking card game is yet another fun game that also involves dice. So, drinks and dice and cards it is! The players are given drinks depending on the player’s ability to guess which number will appear on the dice rolled and what card will be next.
It is a guessing game that requires drinks, 52 card deck plus 2 jokers, a dice and a cool friends group. Get your squad around the table and keep the drinks such that they are accessible to everyone.
Judge Judy
Judge Judy is ideal for parties that have many guests and most of which are willing to play games. The game is over when the marathon is finished.
Drinking Pool
This game is here for you to utilize the pool table which you will find at most of the bars. It is the same pool game with the same rules again but with only an addition of drinking!

Don’t confuse it with the one you play on the diamond. This is a different one as it Is a drinking game and has the objective of scoring more runs than that of the opponent team.
Quarters
Quarters is one of those few games that can accommodate any number of players and hence is ideal to play at a party of many guests. The game requires you to be the player who had the least number of drinks in order to win the game.

7/11 Doubles
7/11 drinking game is one such amazing game that can again be played with any number of players. So if you have too many guests who are willing to play, then this can be a perfect choice.
It’s actually quite simple with the goal to take turns in chugging the beer when other players try to roll a 7 or 11 or double before they finish. Your drinking skills can be very useful here!
