How to Deal
The dealer is chosen from the players by cutting through a deck. The player which draws the highest ranking card becomes the dealer.
The game is played with 4 players. The dealer shuffles the cards and deals 13 cards to each player. Hands and their Objectives
The game is played with 6 hands in the order shown below-
- Hand 1 = In this hand, players should not take any tricks. Players will be given 10 penalty points for each trick won. There are in all 130 points associated with this hand.
- Hand 2 = In this hand, players are required to not take any Hearts. There will be 10 penalty points for each trick won. This hand too has 130 points.
- Hand 3 = In this hand, players are required to not take any Queens. There are 25 penalty points for each trick won. This hand has 100 points.
- Hand 4 = In this hand, players cannot take Kings of Spades. Those who take Kings of Spades get 100 penalty points in a trick.
- Hand 5 = In this hand, players should not take the last trick. A player who does so gets a penalty of 100 points.
- Hand 6 = None of the above, all rules from the above hands’ count. This hand has a total of 560 possible points.
How to Play
The game begins with the player to the left of the dealer for the first trick. In the next trick, the winner of the previous trick leads the game.
In a trick, each player plays a single card. Players have to try to follow the suit of the first card played or led.
In case a player does not have a card from that suit, then they can play any other card.
The card with the highest ranking from that suit wins or takes the trick. The winner of one trick will lead the next trick.
