How to Play
- All players draw 10 cards from the box.
- The player who has pooped most recently begins the game as Card Czar. This player picks and plays a black card by reading it out to the rest of the players.
- The black cards are fill-in-the-blank cards.
- The rest of the players who are not Card Czar, select a white card from their hand that they feel completes the sentence the best way.
- All players pass their such white cards to the Card Czar, faced down and he has to select which one suits the best.
- The cards are shuffled by the Card Czar and are read aloud to all the players. The czar picks up the card that he thinks is the funniest and wins the black card. The player whose white card is chosen is given the black card in exchange and this black card forms his Awesome points.
- In the next round, a new player is made the Card Czar.
the Game Continues in the Same Way.
Picking Two –
A few of the blank cards come with 2 blanks that are needed to be filled. And hence players have to pass 2 cards at such situations to the Czar.
The point here to note is that you have to hand them over in order. Or else it might not sound funny as it should.
Gambling –
Players can also bet an awesome point if they think they have more than one white card that can help win a black card.
You can give 2 white cards to the Czar for consideration, if you win the round with any of the cards, you can keep the bet. However, if you lose the round, the winner of that round gets awesome points.
House Rules
- Rando Cardrissian – Rando Cardrissian is an imaginary player of the game. While playing the game, players can pick up a white card randomly from the box and then throw it into the play. This card belongs to our imaginary player. If this player wins the game, other players are to hang their heads in shame.
- Rebooting The Universe – Players can choose to trade in an awesome point at any stage of the game. They can exchange an awesome point with 10 white cards.
- Packing Heat – Before picking 2 cards, players can draw an extra white card so as to have multiple options.
- Survival of the Fittest – When players get rid of 1 white card at a time and when the last card is left, that is the winner of the game.
- Serious Business – In every round, the Czar announces 3 top favorites instead of just one. And the points are given accordingly. The player on top position gets 3 points, on the 2nd position gets 2 points and the player on the third position gets 1 point. Player who has grabbed the highest number of points becomes the winner.
- God is Dead – This is when the game is played without the Czar. The players themselves pick the card they think is the funniest and conduct a communal vote. Whichever card gets the most votes wins.
- Never Have I Ever – If a player throws a white card in ignorance of the content of that card, they have to announce it to the rest of the players and are also shamed for their ignorance.
- Happy Ending – If a player wants to finish the game, all they have to do is Take a black card and say – “Make a Haiku”. This is the official closing ceremony of the game Cards against humanity.
