Phases
A phase is a set of certain cards that meet the criteria for a particular phase. These cards have to be revealed on the table for other players to see.
If a player does not complete a phase in one hand, they have to complete in the next hand. The current hand is finished when at least one player forming a phase or discarding all their cards in hand.

- Phase 3: 1 set of 4 & 1 run of 4
- Phase 4: 1 run of 7
- Phase 5: 1 run of 8
- Phase 6: 1 run of 9
- Phase 7: 2 sets of 4

How to Play?
Phase 10 phases can be played between 2 to 6 players. Players randomly choose a dealer and then shuffle the cards.
The dealer distributes 10 faced down cards to each player. These cards that form the hand are to be kept secret from other players.
The rest of the cards form the draw pile. The top card of the draw pile is flipped to keep aside and form the discard pile, which is faced up. The game proceeds to the left of the dealer.
Players Can Do the Below at Their Turn –
- Draw a Card – Players can draw a card either from the Draw pile or the discard pile. You can add the card to your hand that benefits your game and discard the one from your hand that is of no use.
- Make a Phase – Players are required to have all the essential cards in hand. You have to place the phase in front of you.
The game proceeds clockwise until a player completes phase 10 phases and goes out. This player who goes out first is the winner of phase 10.
The deal then moves to the left and new hand begins. The cards are then gathered, shuffled and dealt again.
Hitting
When a player hits, they can get rid of 2 cards in hand at their turn. In order to hit, a player has to discard cards in hand by adding them to your phase or to other player’s completed phase.
This move can help you get closer to win the game.
Going Out First
The term going out first is used for the player who advances to the next phase and hand. The players who had cards in their hand have to add them up.
Note that, here collecting the points is not what matters as the player who has lowest score in Phase 10 wins the game.
- Number Cards 1-9 = 5 points each
- Number Cards 10-12 = 10 points each
- Skip Card = 15 points
- Wild Card = 25 points
Who Wins Phase 10 Phases?
The player who completes phase 10 first is the winner of phase 10. However, if there are multiple players who complete phase 10, then points are considered to deduce the score. The player having the lowest score wins phase 10.
