Sequence is one of the most popular Strategy board games that can be played with 2 or 3 teams of players. In all there can be up to 12 players in the game. The game requires players to be the first team to finish the set number of sequences in order to win Sequence.

How to Set Up
The teams of players have to be made by splitting the players equally and evenly in the teams. The players need take a color of marker. The players have to sit alternately such that no two players of the same team sit next to each other.
The players chose a random dealer among themselves. The dealer shuffles the deck of cards and deals a certain number of cards to the players depending on the total number of players playing the game.
· 2 players game – 7 cards for each player
· 3 and 4 players – 6 cards for each player
· 6 players game – 5 cards for each player
· 8 and 9 players – 4 cards for each player
· 10 and 12 players – 3 cards for each player
The rest of the cards make the draw pile or stock pile. The board must be placed at the center along with the stock pile, markers and discards.
How to Play
The game begins with the player sitting to the left of the dealer. At their turn, the players choose a card from their hand and play it in their personal faced up discard pile chips so as to make a sequence. The players then put the marker on the matching space on the game board. The player then draws a new card from the draw pile to their hand.
When a player forgets to draw a card before the next player does so, then they will have to play with a smaller hand for the rest of the game. The board comprises of 2 matching spaces for every card in the deck. The exception for this one is the jack.
A player can play on any space when playing the matching card provided that it is not occupied by other player’s marker. The game requires players to make sequences. For this, players have to match 5 of their team’s-colored chips in a row. They can do so vertically, horizontally and diagonally. However, they have to be all played in a line and with no gaps between them.
Corner Chips
The game has 4 corner chips on its board. While building a sequence, players are required to using connected to the space as it counts as chip for all the teams. If a player uses a corner chip, they only need 4 chips to make a sequence.
Jacks
In sequence game, there are in all 8 jacks and 2 different kinds of them – One eyed and two eyed. The jack that is one-eyed can be used to remove one chip from the other team. However, you cannot do this with a completed sequence.
The two eyed jack is a wild card and let you place a chip wherever you want to on the game board. Players can have dead cards in their hand. Such cards cannot be played as all the spots on the game board are covered.
In every turn, the players may turn in one dead card for a new one by simply putting it in the discard pile and announcing it as a dead card. Players can then draw a new card and take their turn.
End
Sequence game ends when a player or a team finishes the required number of sequences for winning the game. For a game with 2 players or 2 teams, there have to be 2 sequences. And for a game with 3 players or 3 teams, only one sequence is needed.
