Overview of Eye Found It
Eye Found It is a famous children’s board game that involves 1 to 6 players. The goal is to involve all players going to the castle before the clock strikes 12. In case you fail, all players lose. Again, if all players make it, you all win.
Setup
To start with the game, assemble the game board and layout centrally to all. Each player must pick a character piece. The dealer shuffles the search cards and sits near the game board. All these cards are there within easy reach.
There are some remaining pieces, such as the markers, hourglass, and spinner set near the gameboard. All of these cards are also within easy reach. The clock set to one makes the game ready to play.
Eye Found It: Gameplay
the youngest player starts the game. The first spin the spinner to see what turn consists of. When the number is spun, the player moves forwards.
When you are moving, there’s a possibility of coming to branches in the path. A player chooses the path they wish to take. Shortcuts too are there where a player may land on. in case it happens so that the player lands on the exact spot of short cut, at that position, they take it to move to adjoin spot.
When the player is spinning the spinner, he or she may land on a search symbol. There may be chances of landing on one of these search symbols. The player may spin the color of the symbol similar to the color of the search card. When the player is landing on the spot on the board, there’s an opportunity to choose the side of the search card.
For searching, the dealer just flips the timer, and the word is read out loud to all players. Players search the board, and they do so while looking for pictures that fit a word in some way. As soon as they find one, they place one of the plastic markers.
Players go with this opportunity as long as the timer runs out for finding many pictures. as soon as the timer stops, there’s a need to count the number of found pictures, and players then can take the strategy to move characters forward an equal number of spaces.
End of Eye Found It Game
The game ends with either all players having successfully made it to the castle or the clock striking midnight. In case all players make it, then the result is that the players win. On the other hand, if characters did not make it in time, all players lose.
Changes from Richard Scarry’s Busytown: Eye Found it! Game:
- This is the game that comes with different board configurations. The movement track in the Disney game turns out to be longer and more complex which is about 2-3x more spaces on the board in the Disney version).
- Spinner wheel for Busytown has numbers 1-4. In this game, the player moves at most 4 spaces in turn. For the Disney version, there comes the spinner numbered 1-8.
- There is the involvement of Different player count. Busytown is the one that is allocated for 2-4 players, while Disney is for 1-6 players.
- Busytown comes with a built-in timer. Besides, there is the involvement of the food pieces that pigs are eating. Players need to get to the ferry, leaving when they all arrive. Then, there’s a need to go to the picnic island.
The more the quantity of food left, the higher is the score. When it comes to the Disney version, either the players win or lose.
